I make both free-standing and built-in fire screens. I specialize in designs that respond to the shape of the fireplace and the room around it. Forged steel or bronze, with copper or brass highlights, can make your fireplace a joy to behold even without a fire burning inside.

Built-in models come with distinct hinges and latching systems for each design, and can include one or two doors that open. Of course, a fireplace wouldn’t be complete without unique fireplace tools and log racks to compliment your one-of-a-kind aesthetic.

This firescreen, built into the other side of an early nineteenth century stone fireplace features a heavily-textured surface and traditional lines.

BiG Bronze Screen
Upstate NY

Forged bronze with copper rivet highlights, this built-in firescreen takes elegance to a whole nother level.
(did you know that’s called “tmesis” when you split a word into two like that?)

Stratton Screen
WinHall, VT

This built-in firescreen takes design cues from the giant windows on either side of the brick fireplace, mimicking the bare branches of wintertime trees. The latch is concealed as one of the branches.
